Béla Mühlenbruch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen Minschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horst Starke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steffen Minschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Béla Mühlenbruch having to interfere. When Jörn Alspach fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Victoria Hamburg's protests and gave Jörn Alspach a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Victoria Hamburg getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Jörn Alspach hit a great ball. Béla Mühlenbruch was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Raffael Ullmann. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horst Starke got free with Béla Mühlenbruch in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Béla Mühlenbruch made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Minschke in the 29th minute of play. Horst Starke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Béla Mühlenbruch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Minschke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Horst Starke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Béla Mühlenbruch made a huge save. Horst Starke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Béla Mühlenbruch having to interfere. Béla Mühlenbruch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Minschke, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Roger Bay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Richart Rübin having to make a save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roger Bay stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Horst Starke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Béla Mühlenbruch was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. SC Victoria Hamburg's Béla Mühlenbruch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horst Starke in the 57th minute of play. Béla Mühlenbruch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Minschke in the 61st minute of the match. The supporters of Nettesheim booed when SC Victoria Hamburg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörn Alspach didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Steffen Minschke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Horst Starke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horst Starke in the 85th minute of play forced SC Victoria Hamburg's goalkeeper Béla Mühlenbruch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steffen Minschke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Steffen Minschke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Béla Mühlenbruch. SC Victoria Hamburg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steffen Minschke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Steffen Minschke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Béla Mühlenbruch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the Nettesheim players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
