Frithjof Hasselbach received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Asmus Rady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 35 minutes, Friedrich Schätzle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oberpierscheid FSV and the KF Tirana 2.0 players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Oberpierscheid FSV getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Friedrich Schätzle hit a great ball. Roland Stratthaus hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matthias W Drewniak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 57 minutes, Josip Gänßle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Oberpierscheid FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Josip Gänßle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 75 played minutes KF Tirana 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Gereon Junker. Asmus Rady showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frithjof Hasselbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When Marcel Hildebrand fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oberpierscheid FSV's protests and gave Marcel Hildebrand a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Marcel Hildebrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. KF Tirana 2.0 were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Oberpierscheid FSV to leave the ground with a draw.
