The crowd rose to their feet as Surtal's Vitinho Viana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ken Leitner. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. In the 10th minute of the match José Bernhardt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Li Lin Lin skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Schönhof's Janek Winkelmann got a free kick in the 12th minute. Surtal's Li Lin Lin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arno Nitzsche in the 15th minute of play. Vitinho Viana looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Ken Leitner. When Arno Nitzsche came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Schönhof fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arno Nitzsche couldn't finish the play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Nils-Emil Tillman in the 51st minute of play forced Schönhof's goalkeeper Ken Leitner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arno Nitzsche could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Li Lin Lin made a huge save. In the 56th minute, Rainer Lack ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ken Leitner was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 60 minutes into the match, Surtal's goalkeeper Li Lin Lin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arno Nitzsche. If Nils-Emil Tillman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arno Nitzsche succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 5-1 in the 68th playminute. Ken Leitner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Finn Biege, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Ken Leitner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rainer Lack in the 80th minute of play. Schönhof's Arno Nitzsche got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Schönhof's Ken Leitner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nils-Emil Tillman in the 83rd minute of play.
