The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th match minute, Dinay Sports 06 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heinrich Ritzmann to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemens Ziegler in the 13th minute of play forced Dinay Sports 06's goalkeeper Johannes Schimmelpfennig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Mario Merczak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Dinay Sports 06's zone, Clemens Ziegler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Schimmelpfennig came out of the goal and Clemens Ziegler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 minutes, Clemens Ziegler made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Dinay Sports 06's Johannes Schimmelpfennig tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 22 minutes, Heinrich Ritzmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dinay Sports 06's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heinrich Ritzmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Batho Dramsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Johannes Schimmelpfennig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dinay Sports 06's Heinrich Ritzmann managed to work through Opops Team's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Heinrich Ritzmann dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Clemens Ziegler struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Johannes Schimmelpfennig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Opops Team. Clemens Ziegler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Schimmelpfennig read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Hernando Brunkhorst kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Batho Dramsch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Schimmelpfennig having to interfere. Batho Dramsch took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Schimmelpfennig. Johannes Schimmelpfennig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Paolo Lembeck's late challenge caught a Dinay Sports 06's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Lembeck helped the player get up and apologised.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Batho Dramsch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Opops Team's goal looked a bit too open when Heinrich Ritzmann came free, but Ronald Diel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 56th minute, Batho Dramsch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
