In the 8th match minute, Manevra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bosko Grehn to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Manevra FC's zone, Arnold Geldreich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moritz Kummel came out of the goal and Arnold Geldreich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 26 minutes into the match, Helmuth Werner dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Georg Tippenhauer, 1-0. A hard shot 31 in the game by Eddy Bachmann from a close distance when the talented Georg Tippenhauer managed to make a qualified save. Lierenfeld FC's players were relieved. After having played for 35 minutes, Helmuth Werner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manevra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Helmuth Werner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eddy Bachmann came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Manevra FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eddy Bachmann couldn't finish the play. Arnold Geldreich might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Moritz Kummel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arnold Geldreich ran back to his position shaking his head. Bosko Grehn hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Lierenfeld FC's Claus Wassermann got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Manevra FC's Zvonimir Kugler got a free kick in the 48th minute. Julius Kamp missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 50 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Moritz Kummel right hand side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Helmuth Werner made a kick off. Julius Kamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moritz Kummel having to interfere. Moritz Kummel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnold Geldreich in the 66th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Manevra FC's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Wassermann came free, but Moritz Kummel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moritz Kummel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Wassermann in the 74th minute of the match. Helmuth Werner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Tippenhauer having to interfere. Georg Tippenhauer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eddy Bachmann in the 80th minute of the match. Moritz Kummel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claus Wassermann showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 84 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Eddy Bachmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manevra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eddy Bachmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Tippenhauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manevra FC's Moritz Kummel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Wassermann in the 97th minute of play. Arnold Geldreich blasted a shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Moritz Kummel having to make a save. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
