Spectators: 5725 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 2) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Klemens Schwarz started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Heiko Schommer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Theo Reißig was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 5th minute, Dominik Bakker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dominik Bakker struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Theo Reißig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Schönhof. In the 11th minute, Dominik Bakker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Reißig was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Heiko Schommer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Reißig having to interfere. When Theo Falk came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Altensiel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Theo Falk couldn't finish the play. If Mads Lucke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Theo Reißig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Schommer in the 40th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dominik Bakker in the 46th minute of play forced Altensiel's goalkeeper Theo Reißig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Theo Reißig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Bakker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Heiko Schommer made the kick off in the second half. Dominik Bakker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Theo Reißig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Schönhof's Heiko Schommer in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Altensiel's goalie prevented a goal. Schönhof's Peter Gerber shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 59th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Theo Reißig but with some difficulty. Heiko Schommer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Reißig having to interfere. Dominik Bakker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Theo Falk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Heiko Schommer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Altensiel got a freekick which was hit by Mads Lucke. After a rather tough play, Altensiel's Mads Lucke got a free kick in the 79th minute. Dominik Bakker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 91 minutes into the match, Altensiel's goalkeeper Theo Reißig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominik Bakker. If Klemens Schwarz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Klemens Schwarz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ken Leitner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Schönhof walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
