Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Claus Wassermann took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Claus Wassermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lierenfeld FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claus Wassermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 5th minute, Klemens Schwarz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Theo Reißig came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Lierenfeld FC's Arnold Geldreich. But to his dismay, Arnold Geldreich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Theo Falk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georg Tippenhauer was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. 14 minutes into the match, Lierenfeld FC's goal looked a bit too open when Klemens Schwarz came free, but Georg Tippenhauer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st match minute, Lierenfeld FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raphael Frieg to maneuver through the defense. Arnold Geldreich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Claus Wassermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Reißig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Altensiel's Theo Reißig proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Altensiel from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute, Altensiel's Ronald Kömm seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ronald Kömm the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Altensiel protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ronald Kömm had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Altensiel fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Theo Reißig had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Raphael Frieg's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Claus Wassermanns short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Theo Reißig to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Theo Reißig made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Arnold Geldreich sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Altensiel's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Wassermann came free, but Theo Reißig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The attack was good, but when Claus Wassermann in the 42nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. If Claus Wassermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Arnold Geldreich had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th match minute, Altensiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Schlumberger to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Theo Falk made a kick off. When Claus Wassermann came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Lierenfeld FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claus Wassermann couldn't finish the play. Claus Wassermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Theo Reißig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnold Geldreich in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Theo Reißig saved Altensiel from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Altensiel's zone, Arnold Geldreich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Reißig came out of the goal and Arnold Geldreich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65thth minute of the game Claus Wassermann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Altensiel's Theo Reißig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnold Geldreich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th match minute, Altensiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Schlumberger to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, Lierenfeld FC's Raphael Frieg broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Theo Reißig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claus Wassermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Falk got free with Georg Tippenhauer in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Julius Kamp fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lierenfeld FC's protests and gave Julius Kamp a yellow card for diving instead. 87 minutes into the match, Altensiel's Jürgen Plate broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 88th match minute, Lierenfeld FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Noce to maneuver through the defense. The Lierenfeld FC fans' excitement grew in the 94th match minute when Lierenfeld FC's Arnold Geldreich looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
