Benjamin Zentner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heinrich Ritzmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinay Sports 06's Jens Angerer shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 14th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Benjamin Zentner but with some difficulty. Sjard Kucz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Merczak got free with Benjamin Zentner in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Heinrich Ritzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Zentner having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Illyria got a freekick which was hit by Cecil Reinke. In the 27th minute, Sven Widmann sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Illyria's Benjamin Zentner didn't even have to move. Sjard Kucz hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Illyria's Benjamin Zentner got control of the ball when Mario Merczak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Merczak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Benjamin Zentner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benjamin Zentner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heinrich Ritzmann in the 37th minute of the match. Benjamin Zentner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Merczak in the 56th minute of play. After 59 played minutes, Illyria's Reinhard Morek shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johannes Schimmelpfennig came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Illyria reached it. Mario Merczak's late challenge caught a Illyria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mario Merczak helped the player get up and apologised. Tim Frankfurter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Schimmelpfennig having to interfere. In the 65th minute, Robert Oßwald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Illyria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tim Frankfurter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Johannes Schimmelpfennig when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Franz Zindler hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 71 minutes, Johannes Schimmelpfennig successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Illyria booed when Dinay Sports 06 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Koop didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Elia Koop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robert Oßwald received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Johannes Schimmelpfennig came out and tried to block the shot, but Robert Oßwald slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 81st minute. In the 84thth minute of the game Heinrich Ritzmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Illyria's Benjamin Zentner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 88th minute Hernando Brunkhorst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamin Zentner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Mario Merczak ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Zentner was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The Illyria supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Illyria would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
