After 4 minutes, Richard Hutterer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Erlenbacher FC and the Illyria players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 4th minute of the game. One of Erlenbacher FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Illyria:s goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tim Frankfurter got free with Udo Brozulat in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tim Frankfurter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Udo Brozulat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Illyria getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Sjard Kucz hit a great ball. After 26 minutes of play, Erlenbacher FC's Ludwig Zapf made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Zentner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tim Frankfurter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Udo Brozulat made a huge save. Massoud Prengel blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benjamin Zentner having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robert Oßwald in the 47th minute of play forced Erlenbacher FC's goalkeeper Udo Brozulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Erlenbacher FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Benjamin Zentner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Zapf in the 53rd minute of play. Daniel Krabbe's late challenge caught a Illyria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Krabbe helped the player get up and apologised. 55 minutes into the game, one of Erlenbacher FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 62 minutes into the game, Ludwig Zapf recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benjamin Zentner. Ludwig Zapf showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Robert Oßwald charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Robert Oßwald the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Massoud Prengel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Frankfurter in the 72nd minute of play forced Erlenbacher FC's goalkeeper Udo Brozulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Massoud Prengel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Udo Brozulat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robert Oßwald in the 75th minute of the match. 76 minutes into the game, Wenzel Schönauer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Erlenbacher FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Illyria the free kick. After a rather tough play, Erlenbacher FC's Wenzel Schönauer got a free kick in the 76th minute. Benjamin Zentner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ludwig Zapf in the 81st minute of the match. Udo Brozulat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tim Frankfurter in the 83rd minute of play. Ralf Glöden hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute Gideon Protzel managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludwig Zapf in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benjamin Zentner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ludwig Zapf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Massoud Prengel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Illyria supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Erlenbacher FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Erlenbacher FC.
