Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Martin Koenecke kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Konrad Schwang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 4 minutes, Claus Wassermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lierenfeld FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claus Wassermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Georg Tippenhauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Koenecke in the 6th minute of play. A collision led to Lederbach getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Lando Dregler hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arnold Geldreich in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebald Majewski saved Lederbach from getting behind. Sebald Majewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnold Geldreich, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Arnold Geldreich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebald Majewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Wassermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gerd Meister's late challenge caught a Lederbach's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gerd Meister helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th minute, Gerd Meister hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Ekkehard Mintzel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 32nd minute of the match, Ekkehard Mintzel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Georg Tippenhauer was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sebald Majewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claus Wassermann in the 35th minute of the match. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Lederbach's goalie and right to Arnold Geldreich. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Lederbach's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claus Wassermann in the 39th minute of play forced Lederbach's goalkeeper Sebald Majewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lierenfeld FC's Georg Tippenhauer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Lierenfeld FC from getting a goal against them. Claus Wassermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sebald Majewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claus Wassermann to make the kick off. When Konrad Schwang fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lederbach's protests and gave Konrad Schwang a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd match minute, Lederbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Konrad Schwang to maneuver through the defense. In the 55th match minute, Lederbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lando Dregler to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th play minute Arnold Geldreich came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sebald Majewski. 0-1. Arnold Geldreich kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Lederbach's Ekkehard Mintzel got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Lierenfeld FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Claus Wassermann hit a great ball. Raphael Ehler took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Georg Tippenhauer. Lierenfeld FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Lederbach's goalkeeper Sebald Majewski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnold Geldreich. In the 86thth minute of the game Ekkehard Mintzel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lierenfeld FC's Georg Tippenhauer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Arnold Geldreich came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Lierenfeld FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnold Geldreich couldn't finish the play. 95 minutes into the game, Claus Wassermann recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sebald Majewski. Claus Wassermann showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Lierenfeld FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
