After a defensive mix-up in Schönhof's zone, Bastian Sitzler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ken Leitner came out of the goal and Bastian Sitzler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ken Leitner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Damovsky's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Schönhof's zone, Yildiray Ernst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ken Leitner came out of the goal and Yildiray Ernst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Helsinghausen FC's Robert Damovsky sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ken Leitner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After having played for 41 minutes, Dominik Bakker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schönhof's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominik Bakker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Schönhof fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ken Leitner should have stopped the shot. Federico Mannheim kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Helsinghausen FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
