The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Heiko Schommer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ludwig Zapf in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Leitner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Udo Brozulat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Schommer in the 14th minute of play. Schönhof's Ken Leitner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Schönhof from getting a goal against them. When Erlenbacher FC's Ludwig Zapf in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Schönhof's goalie prevented a goal. If Dominik Bakker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dominik Bakker scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Udo Brozulat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Dominik Bakker, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 27 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Udo Brozulat was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Erlenbacher FC's Udo Brozulat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dominik Bakker in the 33rd minute of play. Ken Leitner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludwig Zapf in the 37th minute of play. Dominik Bakker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko Schommer in the 42nd minute of play forced Erlenbacher FC's goalkeeper Udo Brozulat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Udo Brozulat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heiko Schommer in the 45th minute of play. In the 48thth minute of the game Dominik Bakker who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Erlenbacher FC's Udo Brozulat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Heiko Schommer made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Schönhof getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Abbe Wegener hit a great ball. If Ludwig Zapf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes in the game, Heiko Schommer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Udo Brozulat having to interfere. Heiko Schommer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dominik Bakker who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 63rdth minute tested the skills of Udo Brozulat when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ken Leitner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ludwig Zapf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 70 minutes into the game, Dietrich Richter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Erlenbacher FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schönhof the free kick. Dietrich Richter hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Erlenbacher FC's Wenzel Schönauer got a free kick in the 74th minute. Ludwig Zapf struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Ken Leitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Erlenbacher FC. A collision led to Schönhof getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Abbe Wegener hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Schönhof's goalkeeper Ken Leitner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the last second Udo Brozulat throw himself and got hold of the ball when Heiko Schommer in the 86thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The audience was convinced that Ludwig Zapf's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ken Leitner was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. 91 minutes into the game, Schönhof's Heiko Schommer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Udo Brozulat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 95th minute, Dominik Bakker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Schönhof's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
