Dietrich Blumenstiel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jörg Bäßler in the 3rd minute of play. 3 minutes into the game, Immanuel Scholz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sitterswald's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manheim FSV the free kick. A collision led to Sitterswald getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Immanuel Scholz hit a great ball. Alfons Schmitt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Richart Johannsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Sitterswald booed when Manheim FSV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simeon Lausberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richart Johannsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After recieving a nice pass, Manheim FSV's Benny Pätzel tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Dietrich Blumenstiel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfons Schmitt, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 23 minutes into the game, Jörg Bäßler cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dietrich Blumenstiel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jerzy Kasten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Iker Gädechens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Sitterswald's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Schmitt came free, but Dietrich Blumenstiel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Manheim FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piet Kleist to maneuver through the defense. Sascha Pieschke, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpected shot in the 34th minute by Jerzy Kasten got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfons Schmitt to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Sitterswald's zone, Alfons Schmitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dietrich Blumenstiel came out of the goal and Alfons Schmitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jörg Bäßler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sitterswald's Dietrich Blumenstiel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Sitterswald from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Sitterswald's Sebastian Onaran got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute, Jörg Bäßler fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dietrich Blumenstiel, passed just outside the right post. After having played for 85 minutes, Richart Johannsen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sitterswald's supporters crossed their fingers, but Richart Johannsen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Manheim FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Richart Johannsen came free, but Iker Gädechens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richart Johannsen struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Iker Gädechens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sitterswald. 91 minutes into the match, Richart Johannsen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iker Gädechens. Manheim FSV's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richart Johannsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Richart Johannsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
