Oswald Kuch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jens Das went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Jens Das took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswald Kuch. Oswald Kuch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The supporters of Obersgegen booed when Preussen Krefeld II was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Stube didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonid Sanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Täve Echterhoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Täve Echterhoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Leonid Sanders tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Herbert Stube made it 3-3 with a short kick to the right side. Obersgegen's Leonid Sanders tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Preussen Krefeld II's Oswald Kuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Das in the 34th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Treiber in the 36th minute of play forced Preussen Krefeld II's goalkeeper Oswald Kuch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Trumpf kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Leonid Sanders made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herbert Stube in the 40th minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Norbert Wöhrle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donald Treiber in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Oswald Kuch prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The first half was very even, with the score at 3-3 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donald Treiber was the one to do the kick off. Lukasz Hopp charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukasz Hopp the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee ignored Preussen Krefeld II's protests and gave Ivica Egger a yellow card for diving instead.
