The Sterzenbach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Pjotr List took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Gläßel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pjotr List came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Frankfurt's Aimo Bauer. But to his dismay, Aimo Bauer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After having played for 38 minutes, Kai Gläßel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Frankfurt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kai Gläßel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Sterzenbach's goal looked a bit too open when Aimo Bauer came free, but Pjotr List reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pjotr List took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kai Gläßel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Richard Kurtz was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of FC Frankfurt booed when Sterzenbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wenzel Berlepp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aimo Bauer struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Pjotr List didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Frankfurt. Richard Kurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Frankfurt's Roque Gniech got a free kick in the 89th minute. 92 minutes into the match, FC Frankfurt's goal looked a bit too open when Richard Kurtz came free, but Ulf Zöller reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
