The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Reisch during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Roman Reisch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Joachim Heinrici managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's supporters rose to their feet, but Joachim Heinrici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonid Sanders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Obersgegen's Donald Treiber in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's goalie prevented a goal. If Jens Das had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dietmar Lintner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donald Treiber, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Leonid Sanders didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fedor Juhr went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's Roman Reisch got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Jens Das recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The wind increased when Fedor Juhr made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM booed when Obersgegen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roger Oppenheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Jens Das left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Obersgegen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 58th minute, Norbert Wöhrle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Obersgegen getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Gerrit Reichel hit a great ball. Fedor Juhr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonid Sanders having to interfere. The Obersgegen fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Obersgegen's Donald Treiber looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 66 minutes, Donald Treiber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Obersgegen and the LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 66th match minute, Obersgegen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Treiber to maneuver through the defense. LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's Dietmar Lintner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Treiber in the 68th minute of play. Wiggo Bartels charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wiggo Bartels the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 minutes of play, Obersgegen's Jens Das made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dietmar Lintner was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd match minute, LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adam Weinstock to maneuver through the defense. If Jens Das had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's Dietmar Lintner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens Das in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute Donald Treiber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dietmar Lintner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens Das in the 96th minute of play forced LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's goalkeeper Dietmar Lintner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Obersgegen had played much better football throughout.
