Thomas Schirmer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 16 minutes, Bobby Enderle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gersheim and the Obersgegen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bobby Enderle kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. If Bobby Enderle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Obersgegen's goalkeeper Leonid Sanders, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lee Kampf during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Obersgegen booed when Gersheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lee Kampf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donald Treiber didn't quite understand what happened when in the 27 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Bobby Enderle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 33rd minute, Jens Das made a precise shot to the right of Thomas Schirmer. Gersheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bobby Enderle in the 37th minute of play forced Obersgegen's goalkeeper Leonid Sanders to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gil Plum got free with Leonid Sanders in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 42 minutes into the match, Gersheim's goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Wöhrle came free, but Thomas Schirmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jens Das received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Thomas Schirmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Gersheim players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Obersgegen were winning 0-2.

After 50 minutes, Klaus Ruge mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gersheim and the Obersgegen players grew even worse after the yellow card. 51 minutes into the match, Gersheim's goalkeeper Thomas Schirmer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens Das. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Gerrit Reichel got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jens Das sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens Dass short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Thomas Schirmer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gerrit Reichel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Thomas Schirmer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens Das fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Schirmer having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Jens Das got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match was over Obersgegen could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gersheim throughout the match.
