Martin Jungwirth in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastian Ahrens, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timm Tenberge stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sebastian Ahrens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Jungwirth in the 57th minute of play. Sebastian Ahrens came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Hamburger SV's Martin Jungwirth. But to his dismay, Martin Jungwirth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 69 minutes, Hans Roth mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Schluffies and the Hamburger SV players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Klemens Dagenbach fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Schluffies's protests and gave Klemens Dagenbach a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Schluffies's Klemens Dagenbach got a free kick in the 80th minute. If Martin Jungwirth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Martin Jungwirth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th minute of the match Jan Hänssler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian Ahrens showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball.
