Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bobby Enderle made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Gersheim's Jörg Hupach got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 8th play minutes Timm Tenberge shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Thomas Schirmer and just under the crossbar into goal. Gil Plum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jörg Hupach fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gersheim's protests and gave Jörg Hupach a yellow card for diving instead. Jörg Hupach hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Hamburger SV's Jan Hänssler broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ehrhard Hasse was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bobby Enderle showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. Hamburger SV's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bobby Enderle 28 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-1. If Gil Plum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the game, Gersheim's Gil Plum nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ehrhard Hasse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Jörg Hupach put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ehrhard Hasse. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Timm Tenberge was the one to do the kick off. Thomas Schirmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Timm Tenberge in the 52nd minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Hamburger SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Markus Goldenbogen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Hamburger SV's Herbert Neumann got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Gil Plum made a precise shot to the right of Ehrhard Hasse. Hamburger SV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. Bobby Enderle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Gersheim's Thomas Schirmer got control of the ball when Martin Jungwirth tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ehrhard Hasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gil Plum, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 69 minutes into the match, Gersheim's goal looked a bit too open when Timm Tenberge came free, but Thomas Schirmer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gersheim's goalkeeper Thomas Schirmer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Jörg Hupach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ehrhard Hasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Enderle, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. After having played for 93 minutes, Gil Plum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gersheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Plum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hamburger SV's Ehrhard Hasse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jörg Hupach in the 96th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the Gersheim players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
