Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sterzenbach's Harro Graichen started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Detzem's Gil Kick got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Sterzenbach booed when Detzem was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Mühlfenzl didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rick Drostel lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 7 played minutes Sterzenbach got a freekick which was hit by Rick Drostel. In the 11thth minute of the game Richard Kurtz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Detzem's Paulo Punke was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Pjotr List came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Detzem's Wolfram Ridder. But to his dismay, Wolfram Ridder quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rainer Campe hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Richard Kurtz made a precise shot to the right of Paulo Punke. Detzem's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Gil Kick struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Pjotr List didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Detzem. 31 minutes into the game, Hermann Grunert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Pjotr List. Hermann Grunert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 36th minute, Detzem's Wolfram Ridder dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 40th minute, Richard Kurtz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sterzenbach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After 46 played minutes Detzem got a freekick which was hit by Rainer Campe. Julius Dominicus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Punke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermann Grunert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Lars Mühlfenzl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Detzem's supporters rose to their feet, but Lars Mühlfenzl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pjotr List breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rainer Campe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pjotr List having to make a save. Ingo Schubert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Punke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to Sterzenbach getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Roberto Öllerich hit a great ball. Paulo Punke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingo Schubert in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Sterzenbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Ehnert to maneuver through the defense. When Detzem's Wolfram Ridder in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sterzenbach's goalie prevented a goal. If Richard Kurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Punke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lauro Ehnert in the 91st minute. Sterzenbach's Pjotr List played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rainer Campe in the 92nd minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sterzenbach players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Detzem.
