Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Hermann Grunert started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute Rainer Campe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ehrhard Hasse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute Martin Jungwirth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Punke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rainer Campe charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rainer Campe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Detzem's Rainer Campe got a free kick in the 6th minute. Rainer Campe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ehrhard Hasse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Rainer Campe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Punke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timm Tenberge, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gil Kick struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Ehrhard Hasse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Detzem. Hermann Grunert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 30 minutes on the clock, Raphael Eckhardt commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. If Hermann Grunert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ehrhard Hasse was a little too slow when Hermann Grunert got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-0. Markus Goldenbogen kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Martin Jungwirth kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. 45 minutes into the match, Hamburger SV's goal looked a bit too open when Hermann Grunert came free, but Ehrhard Hasse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Lars Mühlfenzl got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Hermann Grunert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Hermann Grunert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ehrhard Hasse was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Rainer Campe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ehrhard Hasse having to interfere. 56 minutes into the game, Jan Hänssler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hamburger SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Detzem the free kick. After 56 played minutes Hamburger SV got a freekick which was hit by Jan Hänssler. Ehrhard Hasse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolfram Ridder in the 58th minute of play. In the 61stth minute of the game Hermann Grunert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamburger SV's Ehrhard Hasse was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburger SV's goalkeeper Ehrhard Hasse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ehrhard Hasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermann Grunert, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Detzem's Rainer Campe got his second yellow card of the match in the 70th minute. The referee ordered Rainer Campe off the ground. In the 71st minute, Rainer Campe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Wolfram Ridder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Hermann Grunert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Detzem's supporters rose to their feet, but Hermann Grunert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ehrhard Hasse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Albin Schäfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hermann Grunert came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Detzem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hermann Grunert couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the Detzem players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
