Thomas Schirmer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Kunzmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the game, Bobby Enderle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gersheim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Paradieso the free kick. After 23 played minutes Gersheim got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Enderle. If Bernard Nowak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Manuel Kunzmann during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bobby Enderle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Plum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Robert Scharpe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Klaus Ruge fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gersheim's protests and gave Klaus Ruge a yellow card for diving instead. Klaus Ruge hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Manuel Kunzmann stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bernard Nowak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Schirmer having to interfere. If Gil Plum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Klaus Ruge was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 65th match minute, Gersheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Klaus Ruge to maneuver through the defense. Lüder Ehlers was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gersheim's Gil Plum got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jörg Hupach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Scharpe having to interfere. FC Paradieso's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bobby Enderle 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. With his leg Robert Scharpe managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Gersheim's Gil Plum fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jörg Hupach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Scharpe having to interfere. 83 minutes into the game, Gil Plum lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated Robert Scharpe. Bobby Enderle got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 87th minute, Bobby Enderle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jörg Hupach came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Gersheim fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörg Hupach couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Gil Plum managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gersheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Plum was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robert Scharpe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gil Plum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gersheim's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
