The referee gave TV PFLUGFELDEN a penalty, 18 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Frederik Pöhler, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Hamburger SV's Ehrhard Hasse. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kim Rasche in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ehrhard Hasse saved Hamburger SV from getting behind. Kim Rasche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ehrhard Hasse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Kim Rasche notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hamburger SV's Ehrhard Hasse. Ehrhard Hasse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Timm Tenberge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Schulze-Boysen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ehrhard Hasse read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

Robin Schulze-Boysen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Timm Tenberge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sigmar Voland made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Jungwirth in the 60th minute. Sigmar Voland was out of position in the 61 minute of play, and Timm Tenberge capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Timm Tenberge really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 64 minutes into the match, TV PFLUGFELDEN's Robin Schulze-Boysen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ehrhard Hasse narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When John Aigle fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TV PFLUGFELDEN's protests and gave John Aigle a yellow card for diving instead. Jan Hänssler shot from long distance in the 69th minute, but Sigmar Voland was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hamburger SV's goalkeeper Ehrhard Hasse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robin Schulze-Boysen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ehrhard Hasse having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Martin Jungwirth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamburger SV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Jungwirth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 93 minutes, Kim Rasche put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ehrhard Hasse.
