The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With an all-out effort, Gersheim's Sigmar Voland threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bobby Enderle, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gil Plum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Sigmar Voland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bobby Enderle during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Gersheim got a freekick which was hit by Bobby Enderle. After 26 played minutes Gersheim got a freekick which was hit by Gil Plum. 38 minutes into the match, TV PFLUGFELDEN's goal looked a bit too open when Bobby Enderle came free, but Sigmar Voland reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes, Gil Plum made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. TV PFLUGFELDEN's Sigmar Voland tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, TV PFLUGFELDEN's goalkeeper Sigmar Voland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Plum. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 66 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gersheim! In the 80th minute, Bobby Enderle left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gersheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Robin Schulze-Boysen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Schirmer having to interfere. If Kim Rasche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gersheim's Thomas Schirmer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kim Rasche in the 90th minute of play. TV PFLUGFELDEN's Kim Rasche got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Schulze-Boysen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
