Wolfram Ridder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dietmar Lintner having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's zone, Albin Schäfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dietmar Lintner came out of the goal and Albin Schäfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rainer Campe might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dietmar Lintner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rainer Campe ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th match minute, LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Werner Alt to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfram Ridder in the 27th minute of play forced LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's goalkeeper Dietmar Lintner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM defense, Otfried Hesse kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dietmar Lintner. The LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dietmar Lintner should have stopped the shot. Paulo Punke came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's Joachim Heinrici. But to his dismay, Joachim Heinrici quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Gil Kick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rainer Campe struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Dietmar Lintner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Detzem. Detzem's Wolfram Ridder got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Werner Alt's late challenge caught a Detzem's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Werner Alt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Werner Alt hit a great ball. If Wolfram Ridder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Kick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albin Schäfer in the 46th minute of play forced LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's goalkeeper Dietmar Lintner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fedor Juhr was the one to do the kick off. Hermann Grunerts short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Dietmar Lintner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fedor Juhr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Punke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Rainer Campe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Dietmar Lintner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dietmar Lintner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wolfram Ridder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the game, Roman Reisch was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Detzem the free kick. After 69 played minutes LOKOMOTIVE PASLAM got a freekick which was hit by Roman Reisch. The audience was convinced that Wolfram Ridder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dietmar Lintner was relentless in the 75th minute of the game. If Hermann Grunert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
