Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Donald Treiber kicked off to start the match. Harro Graichen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 6 played minutes Sterzenbach got a freekick which was hit by Ingo Schubert. The Obersgegen fans' excitement grew in the 8th match minute when Obersgegen's Donald Treiber looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Erasmus Strauch kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Donald Treiber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pjotr List having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Obersgegen's Jens Das sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pjotr List narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Obersgegen booed when Sterzenbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Schubert didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Obersgegen's goalkeeper Leonid Sanders had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Richard Kurtz. Donald Treiber succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. If Jens Das had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Obersgegen were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Harro Graichen to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donald Treiber in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pjotr List prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Norbert Wöhrle hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Leonid Sanders showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harro Graichen, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Donald Treiber recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pjotr List was a little too slow when Donald Treiber got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donald Treiber in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pjotr List saved Sterzenbach from getting behind. When Jens Das came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Obersgegen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens Das couldn't finish the play. Sterzenbach's Pjotr List played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donald Treiber in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Richard Kurtz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sterzenbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Richard Kurtz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leonid Sanders breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leonid Sanders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harro Graichen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sterzenbach's Roberto Öllerich got a free kick in the 94th minute. After 95 played minutes Sterzenbach got a freekick which was hit by Harro Graichen. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Obersgegen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
