Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norman Mützenich took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to FC Tovar-Köln getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Tino Linn hit a great ball. If Nenad Kornblum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 8th minute, Jürn Betz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Torbjörn Schroers made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Thomas Dreibus sent off a good shot on target. In the 20th minute, Thilo Baum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 23 minutes, Thomas Dreibus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CNS-POL-SE's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Dreibus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FC Tovar-Köln's zone, Thomas Dreibus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Torbjörn Schroers came out of the goal and Thomas Dreibus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 36 played minutes CNS-POL-SE got a freekick which was hit by Emmerich Memmel. Nenad Kornblum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CNS-POL-SE's Matthew Szymanski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amatus Rühle in the 41st minute of play. Norman Mützenich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Schroers having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Thomas Dreibus managed to get in a good position for a shot. CNS-POL-SE's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Dreibus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torbjörn Schroers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Franke hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Thomas Dreibus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Matthew Szymanski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amatus Rühle in the 62nd minute of the match. With a little luck, CNS-POL-SE's Matthew Szymanski got control of the ball when Nenad Kornblum tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th match minute, FC Tovar-Köln was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Franke to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Denzel Niederberger during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Denzel Niederberger kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Thomas Dreibus took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Torbjörn Schroers. Torbjörn Schroers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 74 played minutes CNS-POL-SE got a freekick which was hit by Ruth Schiffer. Nenad Kornblum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Matthew Szymanski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Amatus Rühle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matthew Szymanski. That made the score 1-1 in the 78 minute of play. Torbjörn Schroers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Mützenich, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th match minute, FC Tovar-Köln was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Franke to maneuver through the defense. CNS-POL-SE's Thilo Baum couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 85th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Tovar-Köln. Thomas Dreibus sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Mützenich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Torbjörn Schroers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
