Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Elvis Freese kicked off to start the match. Onno Laubner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Roland Schacht. Altenbork's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Roland Schacht came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by 1.FC Union Berlin's Andreas Papies. But to his dismay, Andreas Papies quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Siegmund Splett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakob Tollmann in the 9th minute of the match. Rico Polzer hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Jakob Tollmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Siegmund Splett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egmund Weiß in the 15th minute of play forced Altenbork's goalkeeper Roland Schacht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Altenbork got a freekick which was hit by Bernhard Conrad. Siegmund Splett was a little too slow when Jakob Tollmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fidelio Kaulbach during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Altenbork's Fidelio Kaulbach got a free kick in the 20th minute. A collision led to Altenbork getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Rico Jakobs hit a great ball. Erwin Jablonskis short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Siegmund Splett to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Andreas von Gartzen made a precise shot to the right of Roland Schacht. Altenbork's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Fidelio Kaulbach hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Roland Schacht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvis Freese in the 38th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Elvis Freese had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roland Schacht. Altenbork's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elvis Freese was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Roland Schacht showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onno Laubner in the 47th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erwin Jablonski to make the kick off. A collision led to 1.FC Union Berlin getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Andreas von Gartzen hit a great ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Erwin Jablonski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Altenbork's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erwin Jablonski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Egmund Weiß received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Roland Schacht came out and tried to block the shot, but Egmund Weiß slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 61st minute. Erwin Jablonski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Siegmund Splett having to interfere. Roland Schacht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egmund Weiß, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. A collision led to Altenbork getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rico Jakobs hit a great ball. After 76 played minutes 1.FC Union Berlin got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Papies. Roland Schacht came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by 1.FC Union Berlin's Andreas von Gartzen. But to his dismay, Andreas von Gartzen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. Siegmund Splett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Jablonski in the 95th minute of the match. 1.FC Union Berlin's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
