Spectators: 6837 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 100) 15 minutes into the match, FC Holzkopf's goal looked a bit too open when Otis Mauthe came free, but Eugen Krapp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otis Mauthe blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugen Krapp having to make a save. Eugen Krapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerd Gill in the 20th minute of play. Eugen Krapp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Otis Mauthe, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Gerd Gill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Krapp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, FC Holzkopf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emir Barnett to maneuver through the defense. Eugen Krapp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otis Mauthe in the 38th minute of play. Theo Herrmann hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. If Gerd Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute, Ingo Grohganz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Gerd Gill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in FC Holzkopf's zone, Otis Mauthe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eugen Krapp came out of the goal and Otis Mauthe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Raffael Kellner hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. FC Holzkopf's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luis Hönig in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otis Mauthe in the 65th minute of play forced FC Holzkopf's goalkeeper Eugen Krapp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gerd Gill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugen Krapp read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Otis Mauthe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes FC Holzkopf got a freekick which was hit by Emir Barnett. The supporters of FC Holzkopf booed when Kiekbusch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dirk-Justus Heckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Axel Kalisch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Otis Mauthe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerd Gill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerd Gill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Holzkopf's Eugen Krapp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otis Mauthe in the 82nd minute of play. Gerd Gill could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Eugen Krapp made a huge save. Odo Petershagen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lennert Scheil in the 88th minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Kiekbusch got a freekick which was hit by Beppo Rackstein. 96 minutes into the match, FC Holzkopf's goal looked a bit too open when Otis Mauthe came free, but Eugen Krapp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
