FSV Sachsenkicker's Marco Block played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Hetz in the 18th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Spencers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 42nd minute. Penalty! The referee gave FSV Sachsenkicker a penalty, 45 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Leif-Eric Hübner, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Spencers's Friedemann Kamp. 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leif-Eric Hübner made a kick off. Richard Buckmüller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Friedemann Kamp having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Leif-Eric Hübner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Friedemann Kamp was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. The supporters of FSV Sachsenkicker booed when Spencers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milenko Mank didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Buckmüller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Friedemann Kamp made a huge save. FSV Sachsenkicker played a much better game than Spencers and deserved their victory. The Spencers players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
