After having played for 3 minutes, Romeo Kink managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neppenkamp FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romeo Kink was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Niklaus Petzold fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Neppenkamp FC's protests and gave Niklaus Petzold a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th match minute, Neppenkamp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklaus Petzold to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Romeo Kink notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of TuS Grevenbroich's Christopher Posch. Christopher Posch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th match minute, Neppenkamp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gregorij Freytag to maneuver through the defense. Niklaus Petzold kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Romeo Kink managed to get in a good position for a shot. Neppenkamp FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Kink was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Posch breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute Romeo Kink shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christopher Posch saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christopher Posch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank-Dieter Wyes in the 33rd minute of the match. Walter Heiermann's late challenge caught a Neppenkamp FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Walter Heiermann helped the player get up and apologised. Frederic Kölbl hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Christopher Posch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Romeo Kink, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd match minute, Neppenkamp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank-Dieter Wyes to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeff Orthaus was the one to do the kick off. If Romeo Kink had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TuS Grevenbroich's Christopher Posch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank-Dieter Wyes in the 60th minute of play. Jeff Orthaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Walter Heiermann was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 68 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, TuS Grevenbroich's Walter Heiermann got a free kick in the 69th minute. Frank-Dieter Wyes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christopher Posch having to make a save. Romeo Kink fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Posch having to interfere. Frank-Dieter Wyes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Christopher Posch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The TuS Grevenbroich supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Neppenkamp FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Neppenkamp FC.
