Armin Kuglmeier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 5 minutes, Jeff Orthaus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TuS Grevenbroich and the Greste players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes TuS Grevenbroich got a freekick which was hit by Jeff Orthaus. Christopher Posch showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gasparo Phillip, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Gasparo Phillip took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christopher Posch. Christopher Posch dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Christopher Posch didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gasparo Phillip went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Christopher Posch took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gasparo Phillip, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Tobias Schmedes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of TuS Grevenbroich's Christopher Posch. Christopher Posch was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gasparo Phillip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Schmedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Maximilian Kursinski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeff Orthaus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Greste were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Frederic Kölbl fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TuS Grevenbroich's protests and gave Frederic Kölbl a yellow card for diving instead. 56 minutes into the match, Greste's Daniel Marquardt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tobias Schmedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Max Wansner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximilian Kursinski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Greste's Richard Dulitz got a free kick in the 75th minute. A collision led to TuS Grevenbroich getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Walter Heiermann hit a great ball. Greste's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 79th minute of the game, when Daniel Marquardt after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of TuS Grevenbroich's goal. Daniel Marquardt was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. In the 83rd minute, TuS Grevenbroich's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tobias Schmedes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Christopher Posch made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Tobias Schmedes sent off a good shot on target. Gasparo Phillip received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Christopher Posch came out and tried to block the shot, but Gasparo Phillip slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 89th minute. If Tobias Schmedes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greste's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
