Spectators: 7345 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1745, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dieter Schnitzler kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Groß Wittefelder Ort's Wenzel Besemann seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wenzel Besemann the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Groß Wittefelder Ort protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wenzel Besemann had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 4 played minutes Groß Wittefelder Ort got a freekick which was hit by Wenzel Besemann. The supporters of ESV Fortuna Celle booed when Groß Wittefelder Ort was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter-Michael Bankett didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, ESV Fortuna Celle's Stephan Ellermann broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dieter Schnitzler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Heiner Rehberg made a huge save. The supporters of Groß Wittefelder Ort booed when ESV Fortuna Celle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jossip Stawitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stephan Ellermann scored 2-0 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Heiner Rehberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Dieter Schnitzler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, ESV Fortuna Celle was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jossip Stawitz to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Groß Wittefelder Ort's zone, Balduin Püst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heiner Rehberg came out of the goal and Balduin Püst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Groß Wittefelder Ort's Bartolo Werling got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jari Bergau recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Balduin Püst kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. A collision led to Groß Wittefelder Ort getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pirmin Hoppensack hit a great ball. When Jari Bergau came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Groß Wittefelder Ort fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jari Bergau couldn't finish the play. Heiner Rehberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balduin Püst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 minutes of play, Groß Wittefelder Ort's Erik Wazansky made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steffen Redda was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 67th minute, Dieter Schnitzler made a precise shot to the right of Heiner Rehberg. Groß Wittefelder Ort's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. A collision led to ESV Fortuna Celle getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Balduin Püst hit a great ball. In the 75th minute of the match, Erik Wazansky tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Steffen Redda saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, ESV Fortuna Celle's Balduin Püst got a free kick in the 75th minute. 78 minutes into the game, ESV Fortuna Celle's Kamil Zettel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Heiner Rehberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jari Bergau got free with Steffen Redda in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 88 played minutes ESV Fortuna Celle got a freekick which was hit by Kamil Zettel. Erik Wazansky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 91 minutes, Knut Strunck mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ESV Fortuna Celle and the Groß Wittefelder Ort players grew even worse after the yellow card.
