Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Kotthaus took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jan Kubica hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th play minute Friedl Grytz came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Elmar Bordorf. 1-0. When Bo Söhner came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the FC Union Mühlhausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Söhner couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Toralf Abertonnen managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Union Mühlhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Toralf Abertonnen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christopher Mulder breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Friedl Grytz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Elmar Bordorf skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Elmar Bordorf made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Friedl Grytz sent off a good shot on target. In the 21st match minute, FC Union Mühlhausen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zlatan Struck to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Kotthaus did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Elmar Bordorf 22 minutes into the match. A collision led to FC Union Mühlhausen getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Toralf Abertonnen hit a great ball. Bertram Eigen shot from long distance in the 26th minute, but Elmar Bordorf was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Elmar Bordorf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Kotthaus's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 30 played minutes FC Union Mühlhausen got a freekick which was hit by Toralf Abertonnen. In the 32nd minute, Friedl Grytz made a precise shot to the right of Elmar Bordorf. FC Union Mühlhausen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Zwirkenberg's Christopher Mulder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan Kubica in the 36th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertram Eigen during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Zwirkenberg getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Bertram Eigen hit a great ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulf Kozub made a kick off. Elmar Bordorf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Kotthaus in the 54th minute of the match. FC Union Mühlhausen's Jan Kubica got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Zwirkenberg's zone, Ulf Kozub stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Mulder came out of the goal and Ulf Kozub tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro Kotthaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar Bordorf having to interfere. Bo Söhner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Mulder having to interfere. FC Union Mühlhausen's Elmar Bordorf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Kotthaus in the 75th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulf Kozub got free with Christopher Mulder in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Pedro Kotthaus came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Zwirkenberg fans jumped to their feet. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulf Kozub in the 84th minute of play forced Zwirkenberg's goalkeeper Christopher Mulder to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Kozub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Christopher Mulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Hertäg kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, one of Zwirkenberg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Zwirkenberg were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Union Mühlhausen for a fine match.
