In the 14th minute, Eduard Kühn reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Apollo Hotzy. The goal made the score 2-0. The referee ignored Grammersdorf's protests and gave Gert Steimer a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grammersdorf getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Grammersdorf's Apollo Hotzy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduard Kühn in the 76th minute of play. Apollo Hotzy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eduard Kühn, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Heimito Seisler's late challenge caught a Grammersdorf's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grammersdorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Skutnik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eberhard Knoche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Grammersdorf's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
