Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Eduard Kühn made the kick off which started today's match. In the 3rd minute, Fox Frenzel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 played minutes Zwirkenberg got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Hertäg. A collision led to Grimelsheim FC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Herbert Labinsky hit a great ball. 10 minutes into the match, Pedro Kotthaus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eberhard Knoche. Grimelsheim FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pedro Kotthaus was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Christopher Mulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eduard Kühn in the 15th minute of play. Christian Linde's late challenge caught a Grimelsheim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Linde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th minute of the match Clark Keuerleber sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Christopher Mulder skillfully saved the ball. Pedro Kotthaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Christopher Mulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heimito Seisler in the 24th minute of the match. Heimito Seisler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heimito Seisler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Christopher Mulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Kotthaus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Grimelsheim FC's goalkeeper Eberhard Knoche, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Herrmann Bolz fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grimelsheim FC's protests and gave Herrmann Bolz a yellow card for diving instead. Herrmann Bolz kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Pedro Kotthaus took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eberhard Knoche. Eberhard Knoche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 63rd minute Pedro Kotthaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eberhard Knoche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eduard Kühn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Mulder having to interfere. Bernhard Jähnigen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 85th minute, Pedro Kotthaus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zwirkenberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 91st minute, Simon Kirchberger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zwirkenberg's Christian Linde got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grimelsheim FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Zwirkenberg.
