Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Winfried Kochert kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute of the match Jan Butzendorf sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peter-Michael Gerig skillfully saved the ball. Winfried Kochert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter-Michael Gerig having to interfere. After 14 minutes, Lars Gubitz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vfl-327 and the Viktoria Köln players grew even worse after the yellow card. Michail Ernstberger was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Viktoria Köln's Emanuel Klöffer in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

If Winfried Kochert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavel Kuttner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Michail Ernstberger when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Peter-Michael Gerig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pitt Hornung in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Klöffer in the 64th minute of play forced Vfl-327's goalkeeper Michail Ernstberger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Michail Ernstberger successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 95th minute Winfried Kochert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter-Michael Gerig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Viktoria Köln supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Viktoria Köln would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
