In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Merijan Stehle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Rissmann in the 11th minute of play forced Benrath's goalkeeper Götz Rohmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 13 played minutes Benrath got a freekick which was hit by Emil Schlebusch. When AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's Lino Köstner in the 17th minute got a chance for a shot 17th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After a defensive mix-up in AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's zone, Gianni Scherrmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merijan Stehle came out of the goal and Gianni Scherrmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 played minutes AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Rissmann. In the 30th minute, Slaven Hebel sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's Merijan Stehle didn't even have to move. Merijan Stehle came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Benrath's Emil Schlebusch. But to his dismay, Emil Schlebusch quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 38 minutes into the match, AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's goal looked a bit too open when Gianni Scherrmann came free, but Merijan Stehle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 45 minutes of play, Benrath's Gianni Scherrmann made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Merijan Stehle was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Gianni Scherrmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Merijan Stehle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Merijan Stehle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Schlebusch's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. 60 minutes into the match, AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Merijan Stehle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gianni Scherrmann. If Jon Aicher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gianni Scherrmann came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Benrath fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianni Scherrmann couldn't finish the play. In the 69th match minute, AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcel Rissmann to maneuver through the defense. Slaven Hebel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Merijan Stehle. AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Emil Schlebusch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emil Schlebusch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Merijan Stehle having to interfere. A collision led to AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Marcel Rissmann hit a great ball. With a little luck, AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's Merijan Stehle got control of the ball when Gianni Scherrmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Merijan Stehle, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Emil Schlebusch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Merijan Stehle managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Benrath's Gianni Scherrmann fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Benrath's Emil Schlebusch in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AVRUPA FATIHI GALATASARAY's goalie prevented a goal. Benrath's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
