Heinrich Hennig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dennis Prinz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Heinrich Hennig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Markus Hofmann in the 15th minute of play. Dennis Prinz took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heinrich Hennig. Heinrich Hennig dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. FC Wursthausen's Dennis Prinz got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 25 minutes, Markus Hofmann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Wursthausen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Markus Hofmann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 26th match minute, Ebernhahn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josua Batzer to maneuver through the defense. Markus Hofmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heinrich Hennig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Markus Hofmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Dennis Prinz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ebernhahn's Heinrich Hennig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute, Markus Hofmann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ebernhahn's Heinrich Hennig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dennis Prinz in the 39th minute of play. Rainald Baumeister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heinrich Hennig having to interfere. Heinrich Hennig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Prinz's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Markus Hofmann in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heinrich Hennig saved Ebernhahn from getting behind. Marius Reisch struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Ullrich Schmid didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ebernhahn. Gerhard Jarosch charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerhard Jarosch the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ullrich Schmid was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gerhard Jarosch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute.
