An unexpectedly hard shot by Günter Schepers in the 3rd minute of play forced Ebernhahn's goalkeeper Heinrich Hennig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ebernhahn's Josua Batzer got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rdth minute of the game Günter Schepers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ebernhahn's Heinrich Hennig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Harald Mappus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Ebernhahn's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Dötsch came free, but Heinrich Hennig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Josua Batzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ebernhahn booed when L.E. GrünWeiß was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Dötsch didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Günter Schepers made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ebernhahn's Heinrich Hennig got control of the ball when Edgar Faber tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 59 played minutes Ebernhahn got a freekick which was hit by Heiko Kordowski. Günter Schepers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Edgar Faber managed to get in a good position for a shot. L.E. GrünWeiß's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Faber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heinrich Hennig breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ebernhahn's Heinrich Hennig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Günter Schepers in the 79th minute of play. Heinrich Hennig made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Edgar Faber sent off a good shot on target. Niko Bobbenkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marius Reisch struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Heinrich Hennig was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Günter Schepers showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 89 minute of play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
