Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Günter Rothe kicked off to start the match. 5 minutes into the match, Maik Grassow notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Lahr's Richard Mühlhäuser. Richard Mühlhäuser was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute, Günter Rothe made a precise shot to the right of Hugo Mach. FC Bayern's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Maik Grassow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Richard Mühlhäuser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Birger Thönnes in the 17th minute really tested Richard Mühlhäuser's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 21stth minute of the game Ulrich Rzepka who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lahr's Richard Mühlhäuser was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulrich Rzepka in the 24th minute of play forced Lahr's goalkeeper Richard Mühlhäuser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Bayern's Mel Reck got a free kick in the 26th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Lahr's goalkeeper Richard Mühlhäuser had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maik Grassow. After 29 played minutes Lahr got a freekick which was hit by Cornelius Maidorn. In the 33rd minute, Maik Grassow ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Mühlhäuser was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 36 minutes into the match, Lahr's goal looked a bit too open when Ulrich Rzepka came free, but Richard Mühlhäuser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Ulrich Rzepka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Mühlhäuser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulrich Rzepka was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Maik Grassow got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Richard Mühlhäuser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Rzepka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maik Grassow's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 46thth minute, Richard Mühlhäuser skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulrich Rzepka was the one to do the kick off. Julius Maier charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julius Maier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 52 played minutes Lahr got a freekick which was hit by Julius Maier. After 54 played minutes, FC Bayern's Louis Wittkamp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Richard Mühlhäuser came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bayern reached it. In the 57th minute, Birger Thönnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Günter Rothe in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hugo Mach prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of FC Bayern booed when Lahr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christoph Schnuphase didn't get a good kick on the ball. Louis Wittkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulrich Rzepka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Ulrich Rzepka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Mühlhäuser was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Birger Thönnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornelius Maidorn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 played minutes FC Bayern got a freekick which was hit by Fredi Drichel. Richard Mühlhäuser showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Schultz, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Richard Mühlhäuser took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulrich Rzepka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ulrich Rzepka came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FC Bayern fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ulrich Rzepka couldn't finish the play. Ulrich Rzepka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Bayern had won after a very even match.
