Markus Schwedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Tim Eisenblätter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mount Ararat's Gregor Oppenheim got a free kick in the 16th minute. Markus Schwedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Eisenblätter having to interfere. Wilfried Mademann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloys Potschak having to interfere. Felix Kitzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloys Potschak having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Mount Ararat's goalkeeper Aloys Potschak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfried Mademann. In the 30thth minute of the game Felix Kitzmann who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mount Ararat's Aloys Potschak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Felix Kitzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloys Potschak having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Wilfried Mademann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. hoffenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfried Mademann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Wilfried Mademann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aloys Potschak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilfried Mademann in the 40th minute. Felix Kitzmann's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aloys Potschak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After 48 played minutes Mount Ararat got a freekick which was hit by Constantin Mieth. 49 minutes into the match, Mount Ararat's goalkeeper Aloys Potschak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfried Mademann. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute Felix Kitzmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloys Potschak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 58 minutes into the match, hoffenheim's Wilfried Mademann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aloys Potschak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Wilfried Mademann came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the hoffenheim fans jumped to their feet. Wilfried Mademann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloys Potschak having to interfere. Mount Ararat's Aloys Potschak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Kitzmann in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Felix Kitzmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aloys Potschak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. hoffenheim's Felix Kitzmann got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felix Kitzmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aloys Potschak having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Wilfried Mademann managed to get in a good position for a shot. hoffenheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfried Mademann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aloys Potschak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 92 minutes into the match, Felix Kitzmann had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aloys Potschak. Mount Ararat's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Kitzmann was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 96 played minutes Mount Ararat got a freekick which was hit by Dietmar Groll. There was no doubt that hoffenheim were the better team. hoffenheim's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
