Christer Gerdes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Karl Adelfinger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Karl Adelfinger managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Bloh FC's Emanuel Witt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Christer Gerdes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Emanuel Witt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karl Adelfinger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Gerdes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ole Per Ober had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Witt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bloh FC's Christer Gerdes in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye TuS Bremen's goalie prevented a goal. After 19 minutes, Marc Bonhöfer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TuS Bremen and the Bloh FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Christer Gerdes kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Willi Scheunemann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Munz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After having played for 31 minutes, Ole Per Ober managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TuS Bremen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ole Per Ober was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ali Munz scored 0-1 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willi Scheunemann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in TuS Bremen's zone, Emanuel Witt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl Adelfinger came out of the goal and Emanuel Witt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Emanuel Witt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

A collision led to TuS Bremen getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Marc Bonhöfer hit a great ball. Christer Gerdes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tankred Kapzan's late challenge caught a Bloh FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tankred Kapzan helped the player get up and apologised. Tankred Kapzan hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. 61 minutes into the match, TuS Bremen's goal looked a bit too open when Christer Gerdes came free, but Karl Adelfinger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Gerdes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Adelfinger having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Ali Munz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 75th match minute, Bloh FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Hippmann to maneuver through the defense. Ole Per Ober who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Willi Scheunemann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Christer Gerdes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emanuel Witt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl Adelfinger having to interfere. Ole Per Ober scored 0-3 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Willi Scheunemann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The TuS Bremen supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TuS Bremen would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
