Uwe Brett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Figen Renz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Boris Korioth kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Kirchgellersen's Figen Renz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Friedrich Boback in the 15th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Uwe Brett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Attenhausen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Uwe Brett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Figen Renz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kirchgellersen's Figen Renz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Kirchgellersen from getting a goal against them. After 26 played minutes Attenhausen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Holger Elzer. Björn Petermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Patrick Nierlein got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. Attenhausen FSV's Michael Lindner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Björn Petermann in the 35th minute of play. If Patrick Nierlein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kirchgellersen's Patrick Nierlein got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute Björn Petermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Lindner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Patrick Nierlein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Michael Lindner made a huge save. Michael Lindner was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Björn Petermann capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Björn Petermann really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. After 62 played minutes Attenhausen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Achim Schönert. Friedrich Boback struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Figen Renz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attenhausen FSV. Friedrich Boback received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Figen Renz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Kirchgellersen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Nierlein to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Kirchgellersen's Björn Petermann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The supporters of Attenhausen FSV booed when Kirchgellersen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Tamali didn't get a good kick on the ball. Björn Petermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 88 minutes into the game, Kirchgellersen's Björn Petermann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Lindner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Michael Lindner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Petermann in the 91st minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kirchgellersen walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
