Spectators: 6201 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1050, VIP seats: 151) Attenhausen FSV's Friedrich Boback started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Attenhausen FSV's Johannes Reitz got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Lasse Numberger sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Attenhausen FSV's Michael Lindner didn't even have to move. In the 17th match minute, Strauscheid was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herrmann Krings to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strauscheid's goalkeeper Toni Elfring, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Strauscheid's goalkeeper Toni Elfring had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Uwe Brett. When Attenhausen FSV's Friedrich Boback, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Attenhausen FSV. After a rather tough play, Strauscheid's Hayden Straub got a free kick in the 28th minute. Eddi Hanebuth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Michael Lindner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Lindner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddi Hanebuth in the 34th minute of play. If Uwe Brett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Elfring made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Uwe Brett sent off a good shot on target. 41 minutes into the game, Attenhausen FSV's Uwe Brett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Toni Elfring made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Johannes Reitz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Hayden Straub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Strauscheid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Attenhausen FSV the free kick. After 45 played minutes Strauscheid got a freekick which was hit by Hayden Straub. The audience thought a goal was coming when Uwe Brett got free with Toni Elfring in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Toni Elfring made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Uwe Brett sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Thilo Banges was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Strauscheid's goalkeeper Toni Elfring, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Uwe Brett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Attenhausen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Uwe Brett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Toni Elfring breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 58thth minute of the game Thilo Banges who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Attenhausen FSV's Michael Lindner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Toni Elfring showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uwe Brett, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Uwe Brett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 75th minute, Friedrich Boback left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Attenhausen FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Friedrich Boback in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Toni Elfring prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Friedrich Boback struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Toni Elfring didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Attenhausen FSV. Uwe Brett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Strauscheid players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Attenhausen FSV.
