Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Oliver Ahrens started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Meral Götz made in the 6th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hennes Wehowsky however managed to control. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Ferdl Neuhausen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bennigsen's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdl Neuhausen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Waldo Pathe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 10th minute, Oliver Ahrens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oliver Ahrens recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Bennigsen's Isaak Blumentritt got a free kick in the 17th minute. Kemal Plesetz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Blaum, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Störmthal Red Sox's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Ahrens came free, but Waldo Pathe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hermann Mönikes's late challenge caught a Bennigsen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermann Mönikes helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Störmthal Red Sox got a freekick which was hit by Hermann Mönikes. Isaak Blumentritt's late challenge caught a Störmthal Red Sox's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isaak Blumentritt helped the player get up and apologised. After 26 played minutes Bennigsen got a freekick which was hit by Isaak Blumentritt. After 27 played minutes, Störmthal Red Sox's Hermann Mönikes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kemal Plesetz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Störmthal Red Sox reached it. In the 28th minute, Herwig Galinsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 29 played minutes, Störmthal Red Sox's Kurt-Dieter Högg shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kemal Plesetz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Störmthal Red Sox reached it. Kemal Plesetz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Curt Selle's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Isaak Blumentritt was shown his second yellow card after 35 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Isaak Blumentritt hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Curt Selle scored 0-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kemal Plesetz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kemal Plesetz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curt Selle in the 41st minute of the match. Ferdl Neuhausen hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Curt Selle to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Frank Schabel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bennigsen and the Störmthal Red Sox players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bennigsen getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Frank Schabel hit a great ball. Störmthal Red Sox's Waldo Pathe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Glenn Olano de in the 57th minute of play. Glenn Olano de struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Waldo Pathe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bennigsen. In the 62nd minute, Herwig Galinsky hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Chris Blaum managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Olano de couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Gustav Baste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Kurt-Dieter Högg in the 75th minute really tested Kemal Plesetz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Frank Schabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute of the match, Chris Blaum got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kemal Plesetz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Hennes Wehowsky had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Waldo Pathe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdl Neuhausen in the 85th minute of the match. Störmthal Red Sox's Waldo Pathe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Schabel in the 90th minute of play. Kemal Plesetz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chris Blaum in the 92nd minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Bennigsen players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
