Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Friedemann Nittel successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The supporters of Vielank booed when Beienrode was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias W Vollbracht didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Paul Vida fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Beienrode's protests and gave Paul Vida a yellow card for diving instead. After 48 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Beienrode! Friedemann Nittel had in the 49thth minute some difficulties stopping Thoralf Berens's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Julius Lamowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Julius Lamowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julius Lamowski in the 72nd minute of play forced Beienrode's goalkeeper Friedemann Nittel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Friedemann Nittel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julius Lamowski in the 74th minute of play. Vielank's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
