Spectators: 7004 (Terracing: 5654, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 100) Fenerbahce Istanbul's Uwe Hübener started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahce Istanbul's Jonathan Buchen got a free kick in the 8th minute. The referee showed Uwe Hübener the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fenerbahce Istanbul's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rottne the free kick. After 35 played minutes Fenerbahce Istanbul got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Streitenbürger. With a little luck, Fenerbahce Istanbul's Ullrich Northe got control of the ball when Christoph Laukenmann tried to sneak it across the goal line.
