Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5612, Seating: 1720, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joachim Moholt started the match with the kick off. Jürgen Moll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Klemens Mögle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Niklaus might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Klemens Mögle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matthias Niklaus ran back to his position shaking his head. Klemens Mögle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matthias Niklaus in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute Loher Westmark were awarded a corner. Friedemann Geyer went to the cornerflag to take it. Klemens Mögle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Niklaus, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. After having played for 14 minutes, Joachim Moholt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joachim Moholt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Loher Westmark's Wieland Grobs got control of the ball when Joachim Moholt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Joachim Moholt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wieland Grobs was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Loher Westmark's Lars Parlow got a free kick in the 21st minute. Lutz Däschner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 37th minute, Lutz Däschner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Klemens Mögle was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Matthias Niklaus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Klemens Mögle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lutz Däschner to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lutz Däschner during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 51 played minutes Loher Westmark got a freekick which was hit by Lutz Däschner. After 52 played minutes ATHLETIC AUGSBURG got a freekick which was hit by Francis Lenzen. Klemens Mögle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lutz Däschner in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lutz Däschner in the 57th minute of play forced ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's goalkeeper Klemens Mögle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Loher Westmark getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Matthias Niklaus hit a great ball. Edgar Klähr hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lutz Däschner in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Klemens Mögle saved ATHLETIC AUGSBURG from getting behind. ATHLETIC AUGSBURG's Klemens Mögle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lutz Däschner in the 73rd minute of play. If Lutz Däschner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ödön Keim kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Loher Westmark's Ödön Keim got a free kick in the 81st minute. The audience held their breath when Darko Wirtz in the 83rd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Wieland Grobs's left hand side. In the 87th minute Lutz Däschner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klemens Mögle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Loher Westmark's Lutz Däschner dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Matthias Niklaus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Klemens Mögle having to interfere.
