After 5 played minutes Eintracht Frankfurt got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Gratzke. Bartholomäus Brink could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Berko Lamp made a huge save. When Bartholomäus Brink came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Eintracht Frankfurt fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bartholomäus Brink couldn't finish the play. Felix Heiduk might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gideon Baltermanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felix Heiduk ran back to his position shaking his head. Bartholomäus Brink in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Berko Lamp, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 22nd minute Rodolfo Stiegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berko Lamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Rodolfo Stiegler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Berko Lamp saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 27 minutes into the game, Bartholomäus Brink cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Berko Lamp was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felix Heiduk kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Berko Lamp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Stiegler in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Felix Heiduk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Berko Lamp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bartholomäus Brink in the 39th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Felix Heiduk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Unterhaching's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Heiduk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Berko Lamp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Stiegler, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Bartholomäus Brink left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eintracht Frankfurt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

After 58 played minutes Unterhaching got a freekick which was hit by Uwe Ljucovic. Berko Lamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartholomäus Brink in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute of the match Eintracht Frankfurt got a corner. Unterhaching's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rene Kippert ran over to the corner to take the kick. 63 minutes into the game, Eintracht Frankfurt's Rodolfo Stiegler nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berko Lamp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 68th minute, Rodolfo Stiegler made a precise shot to the right of Berko Lamp. Unterhaching's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Gideon Baltermanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Heiduk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Unterhaching's Uwe Ljucovic seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Uwe Ljucovic the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Unterhaching protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Uwe Ljucovic had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 75 minutes into the game, one of Unterhaching:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Unterhaching defense, Manuel Gratzke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berko Lamp. The Unterhaching fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berko Lamp should have stopped the shot. 86 minutes into the match, Unterhaching's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Stiegler came free, but Berko Lamp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Eintracht Frankfurt booed when Unterhaching was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Heiduk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mike Emmerich hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Eintracht Frankfurt had played much better football throughout.
